Aqikah for Irfan

Aqiqah is considered as sunat muakkad, a practice that is strongly encouraged for those who have the means to do so. The implementation of aqiqah is considered the responsibility of the parents or the guardians of the child.
The period of aqiqah:
• Anytime after the birth of the child as there is no time limit.
• It is sunnah to perform aqiqah on the 7th, 14th or the 21st day of birth.
The regulations with reference to aqiqah:
• The regulations regarding the choice of the animal for aqiqah is the same as for udhiyah.
• The aqiqah for boys is equal to 2 sheep/goats or 2 portions of a cow, while for a girl is one portion of either.
• However, if the family cannot afford the above, it is permissible to implement one portion only for boys and the remainder can be done at another time.
• It is the sunnah to serve cooked aqiqah meat.
• The best method is that the bones are cut at the joints.
The benefits of aqiqah:
• The objective of the ibadah is to ensure that the child is brought close to Allah at the earliest stage.
• As an act of atonement to release the child of all danger and calamities. This is in the tradition regarding the commandment to sacrifice Prophet Ismail which was subsequently replaced by a lamb.
• As a symbol of happiness and gratitude on the birth of the child.
• The feast held in conjunction with the aqiqah will strengthen the spirit of brotherhood within the community.
• To reap the rewards from Allah on the Day of Judgement.
The dua' (prayer) when performing the aqiqah
“In the name of Allah Most Gracious Most Merciful
Oh Allah! This is the aqiqah under the name of "Muhammad Irfan Raziq"
Oh Allah! May this aqiqah be an atonement for the child in order that he/she be protected from the torture of hell fire.” |

# dah pandai bangun berdiri sendiri (but still need to hold onto something)
# dah ada 2 batang gigi ( like rabit teeth )
# start eating home made blended rice (hmmmm... delicious!!)
# know how to waive "bye-bye" (both hands lagi...)
# dah pandai demand ... will scream or cry if didnt get what he want
gelagat selepas mandi (suka sgt main air...)

p/s: It is interesting and fascinating to see how our kid grow up day to day... always new things to learn, to practise and to master, then move on to the new skills...

Irfan's getting a walker on papa & mummy's 3rd anniversary 2 weeks ago...
Mummy got a new camera, gantikan camera yg dicuri and for papa - PSP (still tak ganti lagi) also being stolen masa rumah kena pecah masuk last month.
(P&5#$@6&%#$@%&^$# punya pencuri!!!! ... tak pasal2 kena bazirkan duit gantikan camera & PSP... tu tak kira brg2 lain yg hilang -laptops, brg kemas mummy yg tak seberapa dan yg paling geram.. duit simpanan Irfan (dpt masa lahir/masa time raya) yg mencecah few $k dlm safety box... )

 suka sgt melompat ... bouncing baby
 dah pandai menjerit suka and menjerit marah
 dah pandai main cak-cak (peek-a-boo)
 dah pandai tanggalkan seluar sendiri
 bila tido boleh pusing 360degrees
 still loves licking his finger
dah mula pandai menjilat jari kaki
loves listening to "Lelaki Ini" song by anuar zain ...favourite song dari dulu hingga kini
suka main handphone.. sambil main sambil masukkan dlm mulut laaa
suka tengok lampu (yg bercahaya laaa...)
suka main laptop papa (ntah ap yg di taip sampai some setting also can changed)
 loves attention
 loves seeing reflections in the mirrror
..and at one time Irfan dah pandai posing bila mommy nak snap picture after count of 2 .. but posing senget thehehehe
